Programme-led apprenticeships
Programme-led apprenticeships’ have been designed for 16 – 18 year olds who want to start an apprenticeship but are yet to find an employer.
Instead students are given the opportunity to commence onto a vocational (work-based) qualification at Darlington College, whilst working towards a technical certificate and key skills.
As part of the course it will be essential that all students attend employability workshops so that they are prepared with the skills they need for the world of work.
Upon completion they will then seek employment to enable them to continue with their learning programme, working towards an NVQ and their full apprenticeship.
